Windows 10 rolls out a major update for its People app

It appears the Microsoft has pushed out a new version of its People app for Windows 10, adding some new functionality and interface changes for the contacts and social program. Despite a few conflicting reports, the update brings the app up to v10.3.3472.0.

Perhaps the most noticeable is that the app no longer uses Microsoft"s Fluent Design. The app will now retain the colors of the main theme you are using.

In addition, the side menu on the left has two new listings added: "New contact" and "Filter the contact list." Email addresses and phone numbers are now displayed next to the contact names along the right side of the Home page.

Aside from the big changes, other modifications include:

  • Updated search bar: A pop-up list will show the contacts you are looking for based on your search terms
  • Improved contact sorting
  • Changed the application font
  • Various bug fixes and optimizations

If your app hasn"t automatically updated, you can grab it from the Microsoft Store. It is available for HoloLens, mobile, and PC.
