We"ve been keeping our eyes focused on the Windows Store in Windows 8 lately, trying to find new apps from major companies. We have pointed out some of these newly published apps a few days ago and now we have found even more new additions to the Windows Store.
One is the Livestrong.com calorie tracker app. This free app allows people to track how much they eat by accessing the popular Livestrong.com"s data base of "more than 1.3 million food and restaurant items." You can also add information such as how much exercise you accomplish per day. The app offers daily reminders to keep you on track to your ultimate weight goal.
Other new Windows 8 apps that appeared recently in the store include the official apps for Maximum PC and PC Gamer magazines, allowing people to purchase full issues of the digital edition of the magazines without having to go through a third party magazine app.
Two popular apps in the Windows Store have received new updates. Amazon"s Kindle app for Windows 8 has received an update that fixes a few issues, and FlipToast has also received an update that lets people take a picture on their Windows 8 device and upload it directly to their social networks.
Finally, it looks like the previously announced Dropbox app for Windows 8 is close to launch. TheNextWeb.com reports that Dropbox has in fact submitted the Windows 8 app port to the Windows Store for approval and it might be available for download either this week or next week.
