Windows 8-based Bluetooth keyboard inbound from Logitech

Logitech has already announced two PC mice and a trackpad made specifically for Windows 8. Today, the company revealed plans to release a Bluetooth wireless keyboard that has a layout made especially for Windows 8, although it can also be used by Windows 7, iOS and Android devices with a Bluetooth antenna.

Today"s press release announces the Logitech Bluetooth Illuminated Keyboard K810. As you can see by the image above, the keyboard has a dedicated Windows 8 key, which when used will take the user to their Windows 8 Start screen. Logitech adds, "The App Switching FN key allows you to quickly toggle between your open apps."

The keyboard also has backlit keys that can automatically become dimmer or brighter, depending on the room lighting. Users can also access the keyboard"s Logitech easy-switch button which will allow them to switch from a Windows 8 device to a iOS or Android hardware product.

The keyboard is powered by a USB cable and can last for up to 10 days on one single charge (based on typing for two hours a day at full button brightness). The Bluetooth Illuminated Keyboard K810 will be released by Logitech later this month for $99.99 in the US, with a European debut in November.
