Microsoft"s new Windows Live section seems to be moving into the hardware business, according to LiveSide. The Redmond-based giant is planning to release 2 WebCams (or, as Microsoft calls them, LifeCams), which will produce high definition pictures, plus high-definition video on select models.
The LifeCams are expected for release this summer, with more models to follow in the fall. They will come with a software frontend, dubbed "LifeCam Dashboard", Dashboard being a word Microsoft seems to favor lately. See technical details on the Comments page.
