Windows .NET Server RC1 available. MS Swamped

Ah the days of broadband are finally upon us, while it might of taken Microsoft an additional 2 to 3 years after Windows 95 to get its "Web aware" point across, we at Neowin can safely say that the web really is a broadband place to be right now. As the summer rolls on we find that Neowins server is sweating and heaving -but we don"t mind so much now, because Microsoft seem to be having the same problems ;-)

Thanks to everybody who sent us notification about the availability of .NET Server RC1 for public preview, you might remember that this is a free public download as long as you signed up prior to the availability. We are quite sure half the Internet did because soon after it become available Microsoft experienced "difficulties" with the demand.

funnily enough, the status page doesn"t work either.

I anticipated this kind of mad rush to get the latest and greatest, so just like the image on this post shows, I decided to wait an extra 14 days and have shelled out for shipping so I can get me some official CD goodness in the snail-mail.
