Earlier this week, Microsoft announced that it would commercially launch Windows 8 on October 26th, with the OS reaching its Release to Manufacturing (RTM) stage during the first week of August. But there are also a ton of other Microsoft product launches still in the works.
ZDNet.com reports, via unnamed sources, that it has learned some general launch dates for a number of Microsoft products. The story claims that Windows Phone 8, also known as Apollo, could reach the RTM stage sometime in September; the first devices that will run Windows Phone 8 could go on sale to the public in November.
Office 2013, which got a preview version launch earlier this week, is scheduled to make its own RTM deadline in November and that Microsoft plans to launch the final version of Office 2013 to the public sometime in February 2013.
The story adds that Visual Studio 2012 could reach the RTM stage in August, with a general launch date of September. Microsoft Dynamics NAV could reach the RTM build in September, with a launch in October.
All in all, it sounds like Microsoft is going to have one launch after another with a number of major products coming out in the next several months, if all of these timelines are correct.
