A new application called "Book Settings" has recently appeared on the Windows Store, which seems to be suggesting that Samsung is currently working on a new Windows 10-powered device called the "Galaxy Book."
The app"s description reads:
"Install "Book Settings" which includes Battery Life Extender, Screen mode, Pattern Log-in, User manual, and other Samsung features."
"Book Settings is an application for Galaxy Book. It may not function normally on other devices."
The app"s screenshot further implies that the Galaxy Book will have a pen support, pattern-style login like that seen on Android devices, an AMOLED display, as well as a special battery extender feature that sets the maximum battery charge level to 85%. Aside from these information, there is nothing much to go on regarding the device.
Back in 2012, Samsung filed for a trademark for a "Galaxy Book," reserved for use on tablet computers, mobile phones, and smartphones. While it is still not known if the device will see the light of day any soon, it would be very interesting for Samsung to compete with laptops like the Surface Book.
