Thanks to Mike for sending us this in.. a neat article portraying a virgins use of WinXP from Ye Olde WinME In it he tells us what his first experience was like, if it"s what he expected and if he will ever do it again.. you get the idea.
Here is what he says: "bought a copy of WinXP on Fri and then spent the weekend setting it up & reinstalling my favorite programmes. If you are considering upgrading, have a look at how I got on this weekend with WinXP" and an excerpt from the article that made me post this: WinXP supports Zipped files like they were directories. Wizards pop up all over the place & speech bubbles with info on all sorts of things. The bloody talking paperclips friends appear all over the show, but you can disable them (with a cricket bat if I had my way). and The help system has also had an overhaul. Users of WinME are familiar with the ridiculous loading time simply to open help, the results it offered and the method of display also left much to be desired. I am please to say that XPs offering has been optimised and revamped.
ROFL.. ignore the typos and sit back to read an honest well written weekend with XP
