Microsoft announced the Games with Gold for December 2017 today. If you"re an Xbox Live Gold member, you should definitely be checking these out every month, as it offers four free games (two Xbox One and two backward compatible Xbox 360), as long as you claim them within the specified dates.
The news comes from the company"s Major Nelson blog, although it would seem that the article was published prematurely. The YouTube video describing the games wasn"t available yet, and the article itself has since been pulled.
Still, we spotted it before it was taken down. Here"s what"s coming for Xbox Live Gold subscribers next month:
Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide (Xbox One, December 1 - 31)
The world is ending... though few believe it.
The once proud city of Ubersreik now stands in ruin at the hands of the dreaded Skaven army. Few have survived their ruthless invasion.
Team up with 3 friends and work together to thin out the ratmen’s forces and drive them out of the city. Assume the role of one of five heroes, and hack, slash, smash, burn and pierce the vile Skaven using a multitude of weapons. Fight your way through the city of Ubersreik, from the top of the Magnus Tower to the bowels of the Under Empire.
This is our last stand and only you can stem the Vermintide.
Back to the Future: The Game - 30th Anniversary Edition (Xbox One, December 16 - January 15)
Six months after Back to the Future Part III, the DeLorean time machine mysteriously returns to Hill Valley – driverless! Marty McFly must once again go back in time, or else the space-time continuum will be forever unraveled!

Child of Eden (Xbox 360, December 1 - 15)
One of the most anticipated games of 2011 for Kinect. Winner of 9 awards at E3 for innovative graphics, music, and gameplay. Child of Eden is the “multi-sensory shooter” that will send players diving into a visual matrix of synchronized music and mind-blowing visuals. It will usher forth yet another landmark game experience from the mind of renowned game designer Tetsuya Mizuguchi.
Marlow Briggs (Xbox 360, December 16 - 31)
A new breed of WARRIOR returns, committed to destroying the enemies of FREEDOM! No-nonsense hero Marlow never shied away from danger or trouble. But now he faces his ULTIMATE challenge. Blasting into Central America, he has an industrial evil to defeat whilst bound to an ancient Mayan Death Mask who’s had no-one to talk to for 2000 years. With cliffhanger over the top action and cinematic gameplay, Marlow Briggs takes inspiration from the best of blockbuster films, comic book heroes, and action games with its focus on relentless high-octane combat, exotic and danger filled environments and epic set pieces.
Don"t forget that it"s also not too late to grab some of this month"s Games with Gold. You can claim Trackmania Turbo (Xbox One) and Deadfall Adventures (Xbox 360) until the end of the month, and Tales from the Borderlands (Xbox One) is available until December 15. All you need is an Xbox Live Gold subscription, and if you ever cancel, you still get to keep the 360 games.
It"s also worth noting that you can get started with Xbox Game Pass - a service that offers access to over 100 games - for $1 right now. Next month, games like Gears of War 4 and Mass Effect are being added to the selection, so if you"re looking for more games to play on the cheap, that"s another thing to check out.
