Just as we cross the halfway point of April, Microsoft has made available the second round of free games for Xbox Live Gold members. As announced last month, The Walking Dead: Season Two for Xbox One and Assassin"s Creed Revelations for Xbox 360 are now available for free. The latter is also accessible on Xbox One through Backward Compatibility.
The new lineup"s store links and descriptions are as follows:
The Walking Dead: Season Two (Xbox One April 16 - May 15)
The sequel to 2012"s Game of the Year continues the story of Clementine, a young girl orphaned by the undead apocalypse. Left to fend for herself, she has been forced to learn how to survive in an unforgiving world.Experience what it’s like to play as Clementine, meet new survivors, explore new locations and make gruesome decisions in this five-part game series of choice and consequence.
Assassin"s Creed Revelations (Xbox 360, April 16 - 30)
When a man’s battles have been won and his enemies destroyed, what then? Where does he find purpose and meaning? To find answers to these questions, Ezio Auditore will travel east in search of the lost library of the Assassins. In Assassin’s Creed® Revelations, master assassin Ezio Auditore walks in the footsteps of the legendary mentor Altair, on a journey of discovery and revelation. It is a perilous path – one that will take Ezio to Constantinople, the heart of the Ottoman Empire, where a growing army of Templars threatens to destabilize the region. In addition to Ezio’s award-winning story, a refined and expanded online multiplayer experience returns with more modes, more maps and more characters, allowing you to test your assassin skills against others from around the world.
Also, for those who missed it, Ryse: Son of Rome is available until April 30 for Xbox One. Keep in mind that only claimed Xbox 360 games will remain playable if the Gold subscription is interrupted, unlike claimed Xbox One games, which are playable once the subscription is resumed.
In addition, Microsoft"s Spring Sale is still up and running, with hundreds of discounted titles, and it"s offering a $1 upgrade to Xbox Live Gold for any non-Gold members. But be quick, as the sale is set to end tomorrow, April 17.
