When OPPO announced the Find X Automobili Lamborghini Edition last year, the Chinese company claimed that the phone can be fully charged in just 35 minutes, owing to its 50W SuperVOOC Flash Charge technology. Now, another electronics giant from China is about to crank things up a bit by introducing a much faster charging tech.
Xiaomi is set to announce on March 26 its new Super Charge Turbo system with a maximum charging power of 100W. The company touted the technology as being capable of charging up a 4,000mAh battery within 17 minutes, and its Co-founder and President, Lin Bin, posted a video demonstrating that capability.
The company pitted its new charging tech with that of OPPO"s 50W charger, which was apparently able to juice up a 3,700mAh battery to 65% within the same time frame, as shown in the video. Obviously, the Super Charge Turbo tech boasts a significantly faster speed than Xiaomi"s current implementation on its latest flagship smartphone, the Mi 9, which has a 3,500mAh battery that supports 20W fast charging. It remains unclear, though, which phone from Xiaomi will incorporate the new fast charging tech.
