Earlier today, a new Xiaomi device codenamed "dipper" appeared on Geekbench, sporting an alleged Snapdragon 845 chip and 6GB of RAM, running Android 8.0. Not to be mistaken with the upcoming Mi Mix 2S, said to be codenamed "polaris", this device has been speculated to be this year"s edition of the company"s other flagship line, namely, the Mi 7.
This is at odds with previous leaks that outed the phone as having 8GB of RAM, strangely enough.
The numbers accompanying this benchmark include a single-core score of 2,449 and a multi-core score of 8,309 more or less matching the Snapdragon 845 variant of the Galaxy S9+, which sits at 2,422 and 8,309 in these scores, respectively.
The above RAM conundrum aside, other leaks have stated in the past that the device will come with a sizeable 4,480mAh battery and support for wireless charging, indicating a glass-sandwich based design.
As always, it should be noted that benchmarks can always be faked, and a report of this sort should be taken with a grain or two of salt.
