Xiaomi, perhaps one of the most respected Chinese budget smartphone maker brand, is planning to launch in the U.K. on November 8. Xiaomi has begun sending out invites to a launch event that will take place in London next month. After the official launch event on the 8th, it will then open its store in the Westfield London shopping centre on November 10. The firm will also allow for online orders.
The U.K. is not the first European market that the firm has entered. Around the same time last year it began selling its products in Spain, then it arrived in Portugal, and in May it began selling in both France and Italy – the U.K. is its next destination.
While we don’t have a full round-up of the products that the firm will be selling, it has said that it will launch its flagship smartphone and several smart home products. It also won’t be too surprising if it includes its Android One range of devices too.
Aside from launching its Mi Store in London’s White City, it also plans to run an interactive treasure hunt on Saturday 27 October in coordination with the children’s charity Right To Play.
