Xiaomi is working hard to create a Galaxy Note competitor of the future

Smartphone manufacturing companies are trying to embrace the new form factor for mobile phones. With more and more advancements in technology, we"re seeing better and refined folding phones. It now looks like Xiaomi is going to support a stylus with the next generation of its folding phone series - the Mix Fold 2.

Xiaomi has filed for a patent regarding the foldable phone at the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office). According to the listing, the folding mechanism and hinge design are similar to Samsung"s Galaxy Z Fold series. The sketches also reveal a stylus that seems to be magnetically attached to the side of the phone.

The phone has got power and volume buttons on the right side while the left side features space for the stylus. The patent only reveals details about the design of the folding phone and not its specifications.

The aforementioned folding phone is not the only one Xiaomi is working on. The Chinese company is also in the works of another folding smartphone similar to the Galaxy Z Flip series. It may feature a tiny screen on the outside and a full screen on the inside after you unfold it by flipping, similar to the Z Flip.
