The Xiaomi Mi Max smartphone which has so far featured a 6.44-inch display is now rumoured to pack a 7-inch one in its next iteration along with a large capacity battery to keep it going for days.
When it was first launched, Xiaomi"s largest smartphone offering was rather unique and not many manufacturers were offering devices with such large displays at the time. Now that the Plus variants from the likes of Samsung and Google have crossed the 6-inch mark, it"s Xiaomi"s turn to make things larger.
According to a report published by CNMO, the upcoming Mi Max 3 will feature a 7-inch tall display with 18:9 aspect ratio and narrow bezels all around it. The fingerprint sensor is placed at the back of the device like the earlier two versions, while the camera will get a dual-lens setup. In terms of battery capacity, the Mi Max 3 will feature a 5500 mAh battery, which is a 200 mAh increase from its predecessor.
Two editions of the smartphone are expected to be launched, one being the standard one with a Snapdragon 630 chipset and the high-end one with a Snapdragon 660 chipset. Other specifications of the device are not yet known, but it may not be long till those start appearing online. Currently, there is no word about the official announcement of the smartphone.
