Yet again, Microsoft is attempting to entice new subscribers to its music service by offering them a free four-month trial. Having previously made the same offer in November, and again in February, the company is now doing so once more.
As before, new subscribers will still be required to sign up for a free one-month trial, which will include registering a credit card. Within that first month, Microsoft will then send a promo code that entitles the user to a further three months of free service. At the end of those four months, users can choose to cancel their subscription if they wish to do so, without any cost involved; otherwise, Microsoft will begin charging their card at the standard rate of $9.99 a month.
In addition to the United States, the offer is also available in Canada, and the United Kingdom. However, only new customers - those who haven"t previously purchased or trialled a Zune, Xbox or Groove Music Pass - are eligible for the offer. If you"re thinking about giving it a try, you"ve got until July 1 to sign up, so there"s no need to rush.
Groove allows users to download songs on up to four devices, as well as streaming to one device at a time. In addition to Windows 10 devices and the web, Groove is also supported on Xbox, Android, iOS and Sonos devices.
