If you"re one the lookout for a powerful gaming phone on the cheap, ZTE sub-brand Nubia has you covered. Following up on its similarly value-focused Red Magic, the company last November announced the Red Magic Mars, offering a top-of-the-line Snapdragon 845 paired with a minimum of 8GB RAM for a buttery smooth mobile gaming experience.
Unfortunately, the phone wasn"t readily available outside Asian markets much, but that"s now changed as the company has now made the Red Magic Mars available to buyers in Europe, US and Canada, starting today.
Owing either to high demand or limited supply, however, only the black coloured variant with 128GB of internal storage and 8GB of RAM is currently listed as available for purchase on the company"s site, with all other models listed as "sold out". That phone will cost you $399, a rather fair price given the phone"s flagship specifications.
Apart from the above, the phone boasts a 6-inch display with a resolution of 2160x1080. The cameras on the phone aren"t particularly impressive, but the combination of a 16MP rear shooter with an 8MP front camera will probably do a good enough job for most users. It"s powered by a 3,800mAh battery and runs Android 9.0.
We recently went hands-on with the device, and liked what we saw. If you"d like to purchase the phone, you can do so over at the Red Magic website.
