HP launched the Elite x3 in September, priced at $799 including the Desk Dock accessory, which supports the PC-like Continuum mode in Windows 10 Mobile. Continuum allows owners to use a mouse and keyboard with the device when connected to a larger display, and even offers a desktop-style Start menu and user interface.
HP also released a notebook-style Lap Dock, to offer buyers Continuum support on the go. But with the Lap Dock priced at $599, the cost of getting the full "3-in-1" experience promised by HP can quickly add up.
Last week, though, the Microsoft Store launched a special "Elite x3 Holiday Bundle" as part of its Black Friday promotions. Priced at $1,149, it included:
- An unlocked Elite x3 handset
- Desk Dock
- Lap Dock
- A case for the handset
- Elite x3 Screen Protector
...offering total savings of $312 compared with buying each item separately. But now, buyers in the US can grab the same bundle for even less; the Elite x3 Holiday Bundle is priced at $999 - that"s $462 below the total list price for those products, a savings of almost 32%. You"ll have to be very quick though - that deal is due to end today, November 28.
