You can now purchase games for your Xbox One from the Windows Store

Last year, Microsoft announced the Xbox Play Anywhere program which allows users to buy and play cross-platform games on either Xbox One or Windows PCs. Today, the Windows Store has received an update, which allows any Xbox One or Xbox 360 Backward compatible game to be purchased from a Windows 10 PC via the Store.

For ease of access, Microsoft has provided an "Available on" filter in the search results. Using that filter, users can find and buy not just Xbox Play Anywhere titles, but also any game that works only on Xbox.

Microsoft has been working towards combining the Windows and Xbox stores to offer a more seamless experience, and with this update, the takes yet another step further. The update is currently being rolled out to Windows 10 users on PC.
