As has been the case with Windows 10, Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview and the Xbox One Preview program, Microsoft has been very forthcoming in receiving input from consumers regarding its products, in order to further improve upon them. The company"s recent announcement about backwards compatibility has been one of the major highlights of its E3 event, and Microsoft is again eager to receive feedback from its users - this time, about which Xbox 360 games they would
Microsoft has set up a dedicated forum on Xbox Feedback for this particular topic, which states:
Xbox One Backward Compatibility is here. Now you can play a growing number of your Xbox 360 games on Xbox One at no additional cost.
With new games added to the roster every month, now you can play both generations of games on one console. Experience the greatest games lineup in Xbox history — exclusively on Xbox One.
We can’t promise every title will be available, but we’re working hard to make as many of your favorite Xbox 360 titles playable on Xbox One.
In response to Microsoft"s invitation, gamers have been voting for games they"d like to see playable on the Xbox One. The top 10 most-wanted titles currently include:
- Call of Duty: Black Ops II
- Red Dead Redemption
- Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare II
- Skyrim
- Halo: Reach
- Call of Duty: Black Ops
- Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
- Gears of War 3
- Fallout 3
- Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare III
It is notable that five out the top ten games are from the Call of Duty franchise, but the list itself is not surprising at all considering that nearly all of these titles are critically acclaimed with ratings revolving around 90/100 on Metacritic. Other games also include Mass Effect 3, BioShock Infinite, Alan Wake, GTA IV and Halo Wars.
If you want to vote for some of your favorite Xbox 360 games, you can do so by visiting the Xbox Feedback forum, but remember, as Microsoft has already pointed out, not every game you vote for may make it to the Xbox One compatibility list lineup.
