You can save $100 on the Surface Duo if you pre-order from Best Buy

A couple of weeks ago, Microsoft detailed pricing and availability of its dual-screen Surface Duo handset. It"s not an inexpensive device, coming in at $1,399. While you can order it from the Microsoft Store, Best Buy, and AT&T, Best Buy seems to be offering the best buy.

As spotted by Windows Latest, you can get $100 off of the price at Best Buy if you activate it when you pre-order. This is a common practice for smartphones sold from the retailer, but it wasn"t available when pre-orders first launched. That means that you can get the 128GB model for $1,299 or the 256GB model for $1,399.

Unfortunately, while the phone is still unlocked, your only option for activating it for the discount is still AT&T. If you"re going to activate the unlocked phone with T-Mobile or Verizon, you"ll have to do that on your own time, and without a $100 discount.

While Best Buy is the only one offering a lower price, there are other deals. The Microsoft Store will give you up to $700 off the price with an eligible trade-in, and if you buy it from AT&T, you can always get the device on an installment plan. If you want to check it out on Best Buy, you can find the Surface Duo here.
