Taking the integration of it"s messaging platforms to the next step, Facebook is now planning to roll out a feature which will enable the viewers to see Instagram Stories directly in the main Facebook application.
The feature appears to be under test currently, and was spotted by @ec_wife earlier today. @MattNavarra then confirmed the same with Facebook"s tech communications manager.

In order for it to work, one must link their Facebook and Instagram accounts, and opt-in for this experience. The feature is expected to respect all existing privacy settings, and the Stories owners can choose if they want their content to be available across apps or not. Whether it is a one-time option, or can be decided for every Story, is not clear at the moment. Moreover, all the statistics, including who viewed the Stories, and replies, if any, will be available to the content owner on Instagram itself.
