If you are a fan of Fallout 4 as well as experiencing games in virtual reality, Bethesda Softworks has some great news in store for you. At its BE3 event this year, the company has announced that it plans to bring its popular title, Fallout 4, to virtual reality platforms.
Alongside a demonstration of DOOM in VR, the company also showed off Fallout 4, complete with Dogmeat and Pip-Boy. Bethesda VP of Marketing & PR Pete Hines stated that:
Since we first showed off modern VR with DOOM 3 BFG at E3 2012, we have dedicated ourselves to the technology, constantly pushing ourselves forward.
We think that VR is the perfect fit for truly immersive games like our massive open-world RPGs. If you thought Survival Mode was an intense Fallout experience… you ain’t seen nothing yet,
BE3 attendees were allowed to tour the expansive world of Fallout, accompanied by Dogmeat and Pip-Boy in full virtual reality. Although full pricing and availabilityhaven"t been detailed as of yet, the company states that it plans to release Fallout 4 for VR headsets within the next 12 months. Bethesda has also clarified that Fallout 4 in virtual reality is just a glimpse of what the company is aiming for, with more projects planned in the future.
