Back in January, Microsoft revealed that it"s already investing $1 billion in cybersecurity R&D every year, but added that "that spending has to go up". The company said that the number of cyberattacks worldwide has risen from 20,000 a week, to as many as 700,000 a week, over the last three years.
Later this month, Microsoft will be hosting an online forum, to discuss its security efforts in Windows 10. The "Ask Microsoft Anything" event will be held in the Windows 10 security space on the company"s Tech Community site, starting at 8am PT on June 21.
Microsoft said that "members of the Windows engineering and product management teams will be on hand to answer your questions about these Windows 10 security technologies, and more:
- Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP)
- Windows Defender Antivirus (AV)
- Windows Hello for Business
- Credential Guard
- Device Guard"
In order to take part in the AMA event, you"ll need to sign up to the Microsoft Tech Community.
Microsoft held a similar AMA session last month, answering users" questions on Windows as a service.
