YouTube Music gets three new personalized mixes for improved music discovery

Google has announced three new personalized mixes for YouTube Music to help you discover the latest releases from popular and lesser-known artists, introduce you to a wider range of artists based on your listening habits, and more. The three new mixes are Discover Mix, New Release Mix, and Your Mix.

All these mixes will be updated regularly by Google with new recommendations and music that will be based on your listening habits.

Discover Mix will be updated weekly and contain a list of 50 songs from artists and albums that you have never heard before. It will also highlight songs from lesser-known artists or songs that you might have missed listening to before. The playlist will be updated every Wednesday.

The New Release Mix aims to keep you up to date with the latest release from your favorite artists along with some other popular artists. It will be refreshed in a major way every Friday, with minor mid-week additions happening as per new releases.

Your Mix will be created based on your personal music listening history with songs and artists that you like. Google will throw in some songs from artists that you might not have heard before it thinks you might like. The playlist will be updated regularly so as to ensure you never have to listen to the same set of songs again.

Discover Mix, New Release Mix, and Your Mix are being made available to all YouTube Music users globally. They can be accessed from the iOS or Android app or the web player.
