Google has announced the availability of a new YouTube tool called Video Builder. The firm said that it has noticed businesses beginning to communicate with more customers using video and wants to help those who might not have the resources to create videos from scratch.
Video Builder, currently in beta, has a library of images, text, and logos which businesses can turn into short videos to help them communicate with potential customers. Google said that businesses that are feeling the financial burden at the moment don’t have the time or resources to create long videos, nor can they do in-person shoots due to restrictions on movement. With this tool, businesses can continue communicating with customers with short snappy videos.
Stang Gappa, Senior Manager of Growth at Havenly, an online platform offering affordable interior design services that has used the new YouTube tool, said:
“Video is an integral part of our media strategy because our business demands visual context. Historically, video development has been a slow and labor intensive process. With Video Builder, our small team is able to spin out high quality creative with increased velocity. Given the current situation, where many of us are sheltering in place, free tools like this can help us continue to keep in touch with our customers.”
If you’re interested in joining the Video Builder beta, you’ll need to sign up for access. Google will process requests as soon as it can but the tool has a limited capacity. Once the application is approved, Google will send you an e-mail to let you know.
