Previously, the Windows Phone Blog jumped the gun slightly by outing the ZTE Orbit before ZTE takes the stage at MWC 2012. Now we are getting some legitimate information about the ZTE Orbit, which does happen to be a low-end Windows Phone device that takes advantage of the new lowered specifications bracket of Windows Phone "Tango".
The only specifications that have been revealed about the ZTE Orbit is that there is 4 GB of internal storage and a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. From the images it looks like there is either a 3.5-inch or 3.7-inch display, which will be 480 x 800 as the specifications mandate. There will also likely be just 256 MB of RAM and a probably a Qualcomm MSM7x27A processor as we"ve seen in the Nokia Lumia 610, but we don"t know this for sure until we see a specifications sheet.
The ZTE Orbit will be available in "major markets around the world" in the second quarter of 2012, with no price having been announced.
