SojIrOu Posted August 3, 2008 Share Posted August 3, 2008 hey guys, i've recently bought a new hard disk the Western Digital green power 1TB WD10EACS to replace my 500GB drive but i'm encountering this annoying issue. everytime i send my PC to hybrid sleep in vista and wake it up, the whole drive disappears. the only thing i can do is to restart it to get it to work again. i haven't experienced this with my previous 500gb drive and my current 750gb drive and i believe its caused by the power saving features of this drive. does anyone know how to resolve this issue or is there some driver/patch i can use? I found that when I used to power on my PC from cold, because the HD took so long to warm up, the BIOS never picked it up in time and windows failed to pick it up either.
