Steven
Download: http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/read...dr709_en_US.exe Related To: https://www.neowin.net/index.php?act=view&id=37038 Adobe recommends that Reader users upgrade to Reader 8, the most recent major version, to fix the problem. Those whose computer systems are not compatible, or who do not want to move to version 8 can install Tuesday's 7.0.9 version instead. +mrbester MVC Posted January 11, 2007 MVC Share Posted January 11, 2007 (edited) Thanks for the direct download as the site just gives the web install version (yeah, I'll use up my bandwidth repeatedly downloading install files). Acrobat 7.0.9 is also available, but it's the usual crap of having to install ALL previous updates before this one (and it requires a frickin reboot EACH TIME). This is an absolute nightmare should you have to rebuild a box (or have removed Acrobat for whatever reason and need it back). Someone at Adobe should be shot every time an update is applied and the box needs rebooting. Perhaps then they might make a roll-up-to-current update, or, radically, one that doesn't require a bloody reboot. Oh, and why the hell isn't Acrobat in Version Cue CS2 updates? rado354
Companies are going crazy nowadays :D At first I thought it's v8.0.9... What's the point of releasing v7.0.9 when v8.0 is out and for first time in the history actually better than the previous one? :p Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/528931-adobe-acrobat-reader-709/#findComment-588216081 Share on other sites

Slimy
What's the point of releasing v7.0.9 when v8.0 is out and for first time in the history actually better than the previous one? :p Not everyone can run 8.0 or wants to run 8, at least Adobe gives users a choice but doesn't leave them insecure :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/528931-adobe-acrobat-reader-709/#findComment-588216557 Share on other sites
