Danik XP: I belive people do buy software! I buy some, just not microsoft crap. I refuse to give them money, besides my buddy has his work pay for msdn and I get a complete copy from him all orginals.

Timble: I filled out some information on a microsoft training site, got windows xp pro for free. not for retail version but who cares still full.

phillyhlyer: DAMN RIGHT! people who pay for any microsoft product should be shot.

bartheq: if I had to pay for software (instead of just the BLANK CDR's to copy it) I wouldnt have a cool computer AMD 1ghz and a laptop. I would still have my old p90 using AOL ewwww.

sickofms: its good to have friends with a cdrw.

wtmcgee: HA HA HA HA HA I paid 60$ from MICROSOFT DIRECT for the full in the box version which I am going to sell on ebay for 150+ easy money. and I got home edition for 40$ and going to sell that on ebay for 100+.

tHaCuBe: thats why they make CD Singles. But still I get your point. Thouse damn record companies make like 10+ $ on every cd. the artist sees like .50 cents. MAYBE

Weasel: dude build your own computer save some money and never pay for O/S!! jebus.

a2232: I never used windows me, and if I had to I think bill gates should pan down with some free software for using that crap.

RenGx: your sister downloaded a bad fake version of the devilsown winxp pro. (I have the real one and I can visit the update site 24/7)

Mike11212: if your getting a discount it cant be as good as some other places.. shop around.

verto: WORKS? eww

ixsis: msdn is tight. but damn expensive. but if you were joe blow going to buy visual studio and windows xp you might as well get msdn and get everything microsoft makes instead of 2 things for the same price.

I have never bought software except windows 95 that came with the pc. as far as the price is way to expensive. who the hell would pay what they want for xp pro. what a rip. you know damn well 80% of the cash is going to billy and now he come out with an os every 2 years i will only steal his software. no one can afford it.

wow.....i paid a whole 60cents for my copy (the price for one cd)

the "activation" apparently didn't wrk all to well did it??

the only problem w/ getting XP 3 months before it is officially released (yes i've had it since the summer, and it wasn't a beta) is that there were NO compatible drivers!!

my pc kept on randomly rebooting on me!! :)

next time i'm waiting until it is OFICIALLY released before i .....err......"obtain" a copy!!

I have to say that I too was a fan of AW - then I learned how over priced they were and well the only reason most people buy from them, is for that stupid case (and maybe the name but how many non nerds do you know that know of AW? very few.). Which if you looked at their FAQs, you would see it states that they wont sell just the case. I say, to hell with AW and their bs hardware. I believe (last time I checked) the only hd you can buy from them is a WD. Why would you pay such a high price for a computer when you can only pick the hd size and not maker, and hd size if you did it yourself or went to someone else? Thats not limited to just hds either. :devious:

I got my copy from a friend who payed for it. I didn't have a CD-RW drive then so i just installed it and using Clone CD i made a copy of the CD on my drive, then when i bought a CD-RW i burned the Copy (in case i had to re-installed it).

Well i give my friend rides to school for free so he had to give me something
