paul_gnr
Hello, Does anyone know how to put a shortcut under My Computer? I am specifically interested in having a Shared Documents folder under My Computer as in Windows XP. (The Shared Documents folder that appears under My Computer corresponds to All Users\Shared Documents.) I have shared the folder All Users\Shared Documents, but would now like to see a shortcut to it under My Computer. Does anyone know what registry entries are required to enable this? Thank you very much. - Paul Edited September 14, 2003 by paul_gnr Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/100695-how-to-show-shared-documents-under-my-computer/ Share on other sites

Unfortunately, it had no effect. :( BTW, I should mention that I am running Windows Server 2003 (Enterprise). Thanks for any help. devBrian
And I spent a few hours looking for how to get rid of it. Why would you want it? Just makes My Computer cluttered. :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/100695-how-to-show-shared-documents-under-my-computer/#findComment-1159540 Share on other sites

null_
As far as I know, Windows Server 2003 doesn't have the option in TweakUI to enable this. If the folder is Shared, you could possibly map a network drive to display it in My Computer.
