PEOPLE!!!

those "experimental" crap from clients is bullsh*t.. shadow's included.. i was just wondering why the f*ck i was spending the last 2 days uploading 2gigs, and only had like 500mb downloaded.....

it was the sh*tty client, thats what!! uploading at my max 25k/s and downloading at only like 5-6k and 10k is the fastest i saw it..

so i decided to switch back to Nova Torrent, and DAMN! uploads are a workable 15k and downloads are around 13.. when the uploads go up, so does my down speed!

.....anyway  just thought i'd share..

do you have a router at all? if you do, you have to open the ports for the bittorrent client to connect correctly. i noticed that when i first started using shadow's version i was only getting 1-3k downloads. as soon as i opened the ports in my router so bittorrent could connect with all peers, i was getting 40-100k/s downloads while uploading my max.

I gave ABC a try yesterday and it's now my prefered client, it's based on Shadows code but with a much more attractive UI.

same here - maybe there are better, but i dont see the point - this one does all i want :)

Personally, I just use the original BitTorrent 3.3, works absolutely fine for me: i can stop and resume whenever i like, i can throttle my upload speed, and it fills all my download bandwidth easily. i haven't seen the need for another client...
