Interview with Reddit's General Manager "Erik"

Recommended Posts

Is he worried about the deteriorating quality of content on reddit?

Does he fear that the same thing that happened to Digg might eventually happen to reddit?

How come almost all of reddit's staff left in such a short time?

Are they working on a new layout/design?

How come the subreddits are listed neither alphabetically, by age, nor by number of subscribers? What's the basis of the current ordering of subreddits?

  1. His most favourite thing about the job?
  2. His most hated thing about the job?
  3. His favourite submission to Reddit?
  4. Why does he think Reddit is so successfully?
  5. Why should a Reddit Reader (ie lurker - woo I just coined that phrase!) sign up and contribute?
  6. Why is the internet obsessed with cats and not dogs?
  7. When does the Narwhal bacon?

Erik/hueypriest is doing an IAMA thread on reddit in real time, so there's probably no point in asking the question via an intermediary when you can ask all the questions yourself
