Some downtime later today (Friday 29 July)

Recommended Posts

Later today (if all goes to plan) we will be upgrading the main page to "Pegasus".

The main page will be fully HTML5 compliant and the development for it has been extensive, we're confident we have yet again gone one better than the current offering.

As always, things can go wrong or there may be a few bugs here and there, so we appreciate your patience while we make the required changes.

A staff member will make an announcement when it will actually take place, and because we rock, the downtime should be minimal.

We have heard that before, start praying to the gods! :p

Looking forward to the new page though, do we get any new features or coolness?

Good luck with keeping the downtime minimal.

How big of a shock will the new theme be to members?

The layout isn't changed much, so people won't have a hard time finding anything, the presentation however is quite a bit different :D

We have had a few months to get used to it, so I'm not really sure how much of a shock it will be!

But ... staff who were asked to test it a few days ago have only had good things to say about it, plus headline view is coming back, that's a good thing right? :p

Those have been forum issues, we're not touching the forums in this upgrade.

Just pulling your leg Dave, we appreciate all the hard work yourself and the rest of the team put in. Can't wait to see the fruits of the labour.

I can't wait for Pegasus to launch. Having seen and used it for only a few hours at most, I think everyone will be able to transfer over and get their bearings easily enough.
