It also has the ability to sniff out and download flash videos, which this guide will show you how to do. There are easier ways to download flash video, so this guide is intended for those who already use Firefox with DownThemAll. This will not work for all flash videos on the web. Some websites, such as Hulu, use DRM which prevents external programs from ripping the video. However, this should work for most videos on Youtube. Prerequisites For this guide, you will need the Mozilla Firefox web browser and the DownThemAll! add-on. Configure DownThemAll After installing DownThemAll, you must enable the option to sniff out flash video. Open the DownThemAll! settings and enable the option, Record and list (Flash) videos. Download Flash Video To capture a flash video, simply start playing the video in Firefox. Once the video starts playing, right click and choose, DownThemAll!.... Select the Pictures and Media tab. Look for any entry with the description Sniffed Video. Your video should start downloading. You will have to manually rename the video once the download is finished.
