DrunkenBeard
Hi, I'm looking for weirdish psychological movies taking place in the '80s to early '90s. I'm a big fan of movies like Donnie Darko, Ferries Bueller, The Breakfast Club, Forrest Gump and stuff like Twin Peaks. I don't know if I'm being clear enough but it's just that '80s strange atmosphere, the strange acting, the colors, etc. Can anyone recommend some movies ? I know I'm too vague but thanks anyway :D

I know I'm too vague but thanks anyway :D There are better David Lynch movies than Twin Peaks (which was originally for TV if I remember correctly). Blue Velvet will mess you up inside and Wild at Heart is fun if you look for Wizard of Oz references. Eraserhead (already mentiond) is also David Lynch. DrunkenBeard
Thanks for all the suggestions guys, it's all noted. I have to say that "Begotten" is not the kind of things I'm looking for, I'm not interested in horror but more in strange acting/atmosphere/colors. Thanks :)

sanctified Veteran Posted August 15, 2011 Veteran Share Posted August 15, 2011 Beggotten it's not horror. From what you describe it's exactly what you're looking for. It has to be from the 80s? Because Roman Polanski's Repulsion it's exactly what you're looking for, and its an amazing movie.
Kratzie
Best i can give you if you want wierd is a 1993 classic Australian film called bad boy bubby. The IMDB blurb goes something like this "Bubby's buxom mother tricked him to stay locked at home for thirty years, during which she mounts and abuses him. Buddy ends up in the streets groping random women until finding a nurse who is even more buxom than his mother. "
