Hum
Plenty of people identify as bisexual, but scientists are still trying to figure out what that means in terms of physiological arousal and attraction. A new study in the journal Biological Psychology claims to have at least shown that some men who say they're bisexual actually get aroused by both men and women. And that's a new result; a controversial 2005 study could not demonstrate bisexuality. This study does find it, perhaps because of the way researchers recruited participants. The new research focuses on self-identified bisexual men who'd had a romantic relationship of at least three months with at least one person of each sex, and at least two sexual partners of each sex - much more specific criteria than previous research used. "The fact that we found it, especially using this kind of methodology, confirms that men with bisexual arousal patterns and bisexual identity definitely exist," said Allen Rosenthal, lead study author and doctoral student at Northwestern University. But the bisexual men's responses also tended to suggest a preference for stimuli of one sex. It's possible that generally bisexual men are attracted to both sexes, but to one more than the other; it's also possible that they are more aroused by women sometimes and men other times. more Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1020546-bisexual-men-science-says-theyre-real/ Share on other sites
Worthington
Bisexuality is nothing more than the confusion people feel when they are first developing homosexual feelings. They all end up either back at heterosexuality completely converted to homosexuality. Common sense actually tells one that people can be attracted to both genders, but if you're like the many who do not use their brain when it comes to sexuality, this study proves you're wrong. I'm bisexual; I have been for as long as I can remember. I am attracted to some males just like I am attracted to some females; it's as simple as that, and does not involve me being confused at all. Hum
Common sense should tell you that, yes. It's amusing that you don't appear to understand how attraction works. I don't know how attraction works. It is a spiritual thing, to me. I was attracted to males at age 7, and it got 'worse' from there. No one converted or coerced me. Your logic is the typical "I say it's this, and I'm right" attitude that always come up in these kinds of controversial topics. Contribute something valuable to the conversation by giving an opinion backed up by evidence and insightful thought or don't post and go away. mudslag
Because bisexuality isn't normal. It is an aberration, like homosexuality. Given the fact that bisexuality and homosexuality have been going on for thousands of years if not all of human history, explain again how its not normal? Im white yet Im more attracted to women of color then I am to white women and that goes as far back as I can remember. Attraction is natural and I have yet to hear an argument against that. Can't say the same for homosexuals though. Now thats a red herring, given that hetero/homosexuality is based on attraction, it has everything to do with the topic at hand. Dont be a coward by trying to deflect.. Until you can prove that gays arent born that way, your running in circles looking foolish.
