It doesn't have to be loved. It doesn't even have to be liked. As paying consumers, gamers have the right to be dissatisfied with a game, its content, or its ending. They are free to comment, rant, or rave. They are even free to start a petition. But none of this requires BioWare to listen.

Wrong. It does.

By categorizing video games solely as art to be consumed it testifies to complete lack of understanding of what video games have been since their conception; something that a site like Gamespot would be required to know. Moreover, given my paranoia, this article might advocate an increasingly growing idea to be afraid of: brainless consumerism, that Gamespot supports, and by taking this stance tries to stroke EA, so that it continues to get early releases of games and such - stroked back.

No, primary role of video games has never been art, rather it has been entertainment. While original creations of art are a part of a quality entertainment, there are many other factors that define it, it's a mixed bag. Business model of every entertainment is to establish, preserve and advance a single mutually beneficial concept - entertained get entertainment according to their wants and needs, entertainees, in turn, get adequately paid. However, video games are incredibly complex form of entertainment, especially branching story RPGs like Bioware do are perhaps the most complex experiences currently in existance. Therefore, concepts like "you don't like, you don't buy" and "vote with your wallet" doesn't hold true.

While gamers indeed aren't entitled to anything, because entertainment is not a necessity to our existance, Bioware would still do wise to listen to and try not to annoy people. I gather their profits are surging despite the continuing , thus they can readily afford it, but pride comes before fall. To wrap this up, I might add that Westwood was destroyed by EA in a very similar way.

For the Quarian homeworld if you save the admiral then both races should survive personally I preferred the Geth to the Quarians the Geth were never the aggressors were as the Quarians just seemed like ######, the games been out for over a week now theres no point in keeping with the spoiler tag.

Well at least keep them for the ending.

First off the other things are really just nit picking. Putting something to such a simple explanation can easily create parallels from a lot of things. The first image is similar but it isn't stolen. The last image is something I deem ok, specifically because it is content not everyone is going to see and probably wasn't originally planned to be in the game (fans just wanted a face to the person, so they gave us one).

Nothing is original anymore, and expecting it to be so is just asking to be disappointed.

While I didn't really like the endings of Deus Ex I at least enjoyed the monologue for one of them. But it did not make me hate the game, I just threw out the boss fights and ending and enjoyed the other 19 hours I spent with the game. Same will go for ME3 if I end up not liking the ending. I may not like the last 20 mins but I sure as hell have enjoyed the 22 hours I've put in so far.

The reason the ending made so many people disappointed with the whole game, was the way it completely disregards all the choices you made in the series. You are presented with 3 contrived, ****ty choices, and the "16 different endings" are almost completely identical.

I did enjoy the rest of the game, but man the ending massively disappointed me :(

And that's not to mention the gaping plot holes in the ending lol.

People keep mentioning plot holes in the ending. The only ones I know of is how your party ended up on the Normandy and the Normandy somehow being launched to another planet. Other than those small things I don't see any real plotholes.

So I'm finally slowly making my way through Mass Effect 2 and they talk about reapers indoctrination so much through out that game.

I've gone ahead and read spoilers so I already know about the endings of ME3 and it's my fully informed opinion without even playing that game that the video was posted a few pages back about indoctrination is correct. It makes sense when they are foreshadowing it so much in ME2.

I don't know if this post is spoilerific for those that haven't played it yet so I guess I'll use spoiler tags.

A quick question about ME2. My Shepard is level 27 right now after doing all the dlc and loyalty missions and I'm just getting to the derelict reaper. Are the N7 missions worth doing in ME2 at that point? Not sure how much time I want to invest into them if there isn't much point in doing them other than a few hundrded experience and credits.

My only issue with this is that the Catalyst specifically states that Shepard is able to choose the Control option because he is NOT indoctrinated. Are we just to assume that was a flat out lie?

I don't know. As I said I haven't actually played ME3 yet, that was my totally uninformed opinion. All I know is that in ME2, the past 2 or so missions that I did they mentioned indoctrination quite a bit.

But I mean.. isn't the entire point of indoctrination that you don't know that is actually what is happening?

It felt weird the moment I saw the child (catalyst), how can the catalyst and the kid from begining can be the same?

Most likely the same reason that in Babylon 5 every race saw the Vorlon as their own "gods". It is just representing itself as a familiar image.

Well, can't speak for the ending coz not even close, I love this game much more than the previous two. While doing a certain rescue mission, the way they brought back so many characters into it, and how those people all seemed to have genuine feelings for one another...it was very touching.

Also like how in background conversations people are always apologizing for being insensitive or rude. Wish we were like this in real life.

Update: In a response to the huge fan feedback regarding Mass Effect 3's ending, Chris Priestly, Bioware's community coordinator, wrote on Bioware's official forums that they are waiting for the appropriate time to respond.

Priestly wrote: "we appreciate everyone's feedback about Mass Effect 3 and want you to know we are listening. Active discussions about the ending are more than welcome here, and the team will be reviewing it for feedback and responding when we can.

"Please note, we want to give people time to experience the game so while we can't get into specifics right now, we will be able to address some of your questions once more people have had time to complete the game. In the meantime, we'd like to ask that you keep the non-spoiler areas of our forums and our social media channels spoiler free.

"We understand there is a lot of debate on the Mass Effect 3 ending and we will be more than happy to engage in healthy discussions once more people get to experience the game. We are listening to all of your feedback."

Is it a capital crime that I'm starting to release my hate towards Vega? He's not that bad, actually. And the way he stumbled after the latest attempt of hitting on my Femshep and, consequentially, being called bluff (tattoo scene down in the Docks) - priceless.

Snooki still sucks, though. Sadly, garbage compactor doesn't work anymore. I'd use it without hesitation to send her off the ship.
