Khujo
yeah i'm using a Koolance case for now, but haven't gotten the water cooling blocks in to my shop yet. And as soon as I can get my hands on WinXP 64 i will dual boot 32 and 64 Bit versions until drivers mature. I left it sitting on the bench at work and will get more benchmarks and info posted tomorrow.

Khujo
yeah i score over 17000 my config is below, not bragging on the scores just passing on my initial impressions and thought it would be cool to post pics, the cpu is only 2/3 the clock speed of the 3ghz after all and this is the Single Channel Memory regular Athlon 64. As it stands now i prefer Hyperthreading to the 64-bitness that i can't use, but we shall see as time goes on and i get to use it more.

JaredVolkl
Personally, I wouldn't buy into an Athlon 64 yet. It just isn't pheasable today. Using today's programs, there's not a whole lot of need for 64 bit. Now in a few months or a year down the road, I can see things being a whole lot different. Where the Athlon 64 will really excel is in 64 bit environments. Until then, I'd hold off.
Khujo
yes they came into my store today, we had a P4 3.0C that i had built a couple months ago on display that a customer wanted the Motherboard (MSI Neo2) out of so i took the opportunity to build a new machine. The Socket 754 motherboards arrived last week. And i just love getting to build new machines with the stores money ;)

ANova
Less than 15000 is low. I get over 12000 with a 9500 Pro and P4 2.4B.

Steven
compusa has athlon 64 processors? :o :woot: only problem is that CompUSA will charge you your life for these things. I find they're always extemely overpriced for most of the products that they sell.

Those things almost melt non-overclocked....
