I let my camera sit on the balcony while shooting these. Key is basically minimum ISO for lowest noise, small aperture (f/8 - f/11 worked pretty well for me), and long enough shutter to catch the fireworks. :p (and give the camera a good enough exposure) I think they were usually exposed for around 25 seconds each. So tripod / some sort of place to put it on is of course a must. :D Well, that's my tips.
