One of the cheesy goalie goals. He just happened to be the last Cane that touched the puck.

I don't get it. Who was defending? It seemed like he was cheering on the goal...?

Devils (in white) were in possession, and in the Hurricanes' end (red). It was the last minute of play, and the Devils were behind by one goal, so they pulled their goalie for the extra man (hence the empty net). While passing to eachother, they missed the pass and it slid all the way back. The goalie on the opposite team was the last to touch the puck (probably a save from a prior shot), so he is credited with the goal.

Am I missing something here? It looks to me like #17 hosed the pass and it went in the goal. I don't think he's the goalie either, is he?

Goal for Cam!!! Even if it was just by a technicality. Rules are rules.

And Astra.Xtreme, the goal goes to the player to last touch the puck on the scoring team, which was Cam Ward in this situation.
