My work set up. Nothing special but keeps me entertained.

Left + Middle screen is Windows 7 Enterprise

Right screen is Ubuntu on a seperate box (only just set up so I can have a play around)

Both machines controlled with one mouse and keyboard using Synergy (my day's achievement)

RE: some earlier posts in the thread.

Yes my desk still looks like that. No I didn't get the GC dev kit off ebay. No I haven't developed anything with it (though when I've got free time and the ideal mind to learn C/C++ I'll work on it).

And no, I wouldn't like a clean tidy desk :p ironically it is an organised mess, screwdrivers and whatnot on the right, capacitors/ICs/leds/etc. on the left, memory in front. :)

Anyone here use the IKEA LED dioder strips for their ambient backlighting? What's the best way to attach those to the desk?

I'd probably use something similar to the way they secure the cable in some UK plugs, a white strip of soft plastic tightened over the top of the wire by two screws either end, only replace "wire" for "LED strip" and "plug" for "desk"

I have the IKEA Dioders, they come with slide-through fixing points with screws and they also come with double sticky pads... so I attached one set to my wall using the fixing points and screws and I put another set on the underside front edge of my glass desk with the pads.

Hmm. I don't remember seeing those in the packaging, I'll have to take a look again, if not I can easily buy some. I was worried double stickies might burn, but if you're using them, I'll check them out.

Thanks! :)

EDIT: Yep, they're there. Sweet. I'll try those out!
