Phantom Helix
Just wondering if anyone knows of any place to download any video files that will push my 480hz TV to its potential? I didn't buy the TV for the 480hz, so i was just wondering what something with that high of a framerate looked like, any ideas? Bryan R.
Video is typically at ~24fps and frequency (Hz) has nothing to do with that. Derp. DClark
It doesn't work that way. Your TV only accepts up to 60fps, but it renders up to 480 frames by multiplication. The reason why LCD TVs jumped to 120hz is so that film did not need to use the pull-down conversion process (as 60 is not divisible by 24). The increases since have to do with "smoothness" marketing. In reality, what you want is good response time on an LCD TV.
