OS X Mountain Lion Discussion

It isn't hard to reproduce at all, just pinch out with more than two tabs and you will see it on any page that isn't pure white.

Hard enough that I can't reproduce it even with your instructions :/

So here's the million dollar question about the GM, since I don't have access to that, I am curious, is the Facebook integration in there or is that gone now? I was always curious how they handled that. It was in the DP's right? But now it should be gone in the GM?

I don't have the issue in windowed mode, full-screen or in windowed mode coming back from full-screen. Enabling/disabling/enabling the Status Bar doesn't change anything either. I used the same website as in your screen shot.

Did you do a completely clean install (formatted the hard disk, then install it off a pen drive)?

Well i've done some further testing and found out that this only happens on my 27" iMac using the native resolution which is 2560x1440 or by using 1920x1080 and yes this is a clean install. I have posted a video so you can see it in action.

Facebook integration isn't present. I haven't tried installing the Facebook preview package though.

Reinstall the preview package it works just like before.

I have a 27-inch iMac with its screen running at native resolution. ;)

It just doesn't happen for me.

On the other hand Facebook never showed notifications in Notification Center for me even after installing the package. Go figure.

Nope late 2010. I asked a close friend of mine who owns a mid 2011 and he just said he doesn't have the issue either.

Ah what the deuce is going on here then.

Installed the GM today. I'm kind of underwhelmed to be honest. It performs the same on my Mac and the only real two features I "see" are notifications and the new dock. Everything else won't get used by me.

But I do like having the notifications.

I'll hold of judgement until I do an Erase & Install. For me quite frankly OS X Lion never performed worse than OS X Snow Leopard to begin with so I'm not expecting much.

So the GM is the FINAL release?

My new Macbook is on it's way and i really can't be bothered to re-install everything on new machine, to do it again next week or the week after, i'm thinking about getting a dev account and downloading it for the convenience if possible? although if it's likely to change then it would be a waste of time.

unless they find any show stopper bugs than it will be the same as the final release, yes.

More or less, there's always the possibility of them issuing a GM2 but that's not the norm

I've decided not to install GM right now, as I'm going to stick with DP 4, until it comes out in App Store and update then. :)

Something that's really starting to **** me off is holding down option to re-download something in the App Store doesn't work anymore. Haven't found an alternative either.

I got the same problem on my 21 inch 2009 iMac. I never noticed until reading your post and now it's all that I can see. Still, I'm not too worried about it it's mostly cosmetic and I'm sure it will be fixed in time.

I shouldn?t have installed 10.8. It?s such a breeze to use. A few things suddenly became more practical.

I have Windows 7 on my job?s laptop - it makes me like my job hours a little bit less :(

Powernap option is missing in the gm seed for me :( (mba 2012)

Apparently, PowerNap is going to be enabled in a firmware update for machines that support it.

I'm really enjoying the GM build. It's made my machines infinitely snappier. I had been using my Windows machines primarily again because of the lag I experienced in 10.7.X. 10.8.0 has done major breakthroughs for my machines.

Would Power nap work on the iMac 2011? Looks a neat feature to have things backup whilst im sleeping haha

Nope, Power Nap needs a SSD that's soldered onto the motherboard, as far as I'm aware of. Even if you install a SSD into your other devices, it still doesn't meet the requirements. Even then, the feature is also going to be an update, which will be pushed via the app store.
