Slightly off-topic, and I don't know if it's mentioned yet, but Safari for Windows seems to be discontinued? http://www.apple.com/safari/download/ "Hmm, the page you?re looking for can?t be found."

I would wait until the dust settles before making a rash comment like that :p I doubt they would discontinue it (although I don't think it has a lot of users...)

edit: this link still works fine to download a version that was updated in May http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1531

It looks like the http://www.apple.com/osx/ is not updated fully yet too, as it still says coming in July.

edit: sorry that old (coming in july) text was only in my browser cache.

Might be cached for you, it says available on the Mac App Store for me

Well, they haven't been adding any major new features to it for a while. Extensions were the only one to be fair.

Just orderd a usb flash drive now, will install this fresh in 2 weeks time. Looks like Internet Recovery doesn't have the options to install ML fresh from there once bought, just checked it out. Is there any official guide how to burn the .app file to the pen drive? I know i can be done seen it before but not sure how I go about doing it? and how do I boot off the pen drive? this is my first time!

What's the build number for Mountain Lion Final? I take it, it's different to the GM build? (12A269)

I'll know with complete certainty in a little bit, but the Developer Portal says 12A269 is the final.

Does upgrading to Mountain Lion also update the recovery partition?

I'd assume so

I'm not going to update till later tonight or tomorrow though, give the servers a chance to cool down and work faster

It finished updating a little bit ago. I repaired permissions after. Safari actually seems a bit slower to me. =(

If it doesn't improve over the next couple days, I'll just do a clean install and that is why I was asking if the recovery partition was updated or if I should use internet recovery. Lol

What is up with the website? I did NOT reply twice. Those two posts as I see them were typed all in the same reply.

Is there anyway to delete the recovery partition so I can get the disk space back since I plan on keeping the setup files on a USB disk like I did for Lion
