I think with Windows XP (Whistler) at this stage, the User Interface was 'Watercolour' and we know how that changed... Slate and the entire concept of sidebar will obviously be different when 2006 arrives (and we'll witness each transistion by... uh... leaks). And Aero probably won't been seen until (my guess) late 2005 or early 2006 before release date. With good driver compatability there will be no problems like with xp, I remember several friends wanted to install but most couldn't 'cause drivers where unavailable. I hope they release aero soon to devepopers (Hope it leaks too :) ) so they can make the best compatability and smoothness in the rendering.
