heres a question to anyone who knows, can i use this build to just replace my current windows xp? I mean can i install the longhorn build and install the programs i use like flash and ie and stuff and have it run normal and just use that as an OS until the longhorn beta? or would i be able to simply install longhorn, check it out and then reinstall win xp? because it doesnt work with proggies?

it would be great if they could somehow have a different version of the wallpaper for the time of day.

Dawn, Day, Dusk, Night and have the wallpaper fade at the right time of day.

Of course it would be even better to have a looped video of clouds passing by as a desktop which changes for the time of day, but thats not likely...

omg, martinDTanderson, thats a brilliant idea! :) infact it would be kickass to have like a video loop of about 24 hours from different parts of the world, say for instance, doing ur work and watching the crowded downtown area of new york? as u work through the day u can see it slowly get darker there!

Ever heard of active desktop ?

Jason, so your telling me there is a way to replace my desktop with a 24 hour loop of downtown new york?

oh and ever heard of not being an ass?

There used to be an Active Desktop program of a view of Earth from a satellite from space that constantly updated itself so the wallpaper kept changing.

I have head of not being an ass but I am sorry I cannot help you accomplish this :D

thats not it at all, its more like people who have to sit in front of a computer to do work that must be done, would rather have something beutiful to look at than a dull computer screen, who the hell would prefer a picture of the outdoors instead of being in the outdoors, noone.

Just had another idea for a nice feature for MSN users with Longhorn... 4 MSN butterflys (yellow, red blue and green) which follow the cursor flying in 3D (moving into the background and some in front of windows etc.

Just a rather useless use for Aero, but i'd like it...
