help Simple chess for Windows XP

Hello guys!

I'm looking for a really simple Chess program for my grandmother. She's almost 80, and loves playing card games on the computer and would like to learn chess.

Chess Titans would be perfect for her, but it doesn't work on XP... I've been looking around and everything I'm bumping in to has a really complicated UI with a history and everything, I'd really like something a lot simpler.

Any ideas?

nVidia made a chess game as one of their tech demos, it's free.

Then there's always Chess from the Microsoft Windows Entertainment Pack (WEP)...

There is Chess Titans supposedly ported to XP. I'm testing atm on a virtual machine, needs .NET 3.5, so might be some minutes.

Confirmed working. 3D acceleration needed, though, and anti-aliasing is unavailable (may be forcing works if dedicated card is available?).

Not really no...

I'll try your link Cralias. As far as I know her PC has some integrated graphics thing from the XP era, so I wonder if I can get it to work properly. Thanks!

How about Dream Chess? Uses OpenGL. Or there is a paid Chess Titans clone.
