Kerm
Recently installed Microsoft Flight, and all the accompanyments that go along with the install, Microsoft Visual C++, etc. Started the game and the screen went nasty, what I would call screen tear and the computer froze. Upon restarting the computer it would do the same. I have now formatted the main harddrive and reinstalled Windows7 onto it, clean install and after a few minutes the screen tears and windows freezes. I was hoping this was a software mess up but now I'm worrying it may be hardware related? I can run the system in Safe Mode with no tearing or freezing up. Any ideas? Thanks alot. bdsams Veteran Posted March 13, 2012 Veteran Share Posted March 13, 2012 It looks hardware related but I would hate to think that running MS Flight would overheat your video card...what's the make/model of it? Kerm
It's an 8800 GT. Forgot the manufacturer. Could be MSI perhaps. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/1063918-screen-tear-after-startup/#findComment-594726470 Share on other sites
