Why do people constantly complain about Metro when it IS easier to use?

Microsoft has apparently removed the ability to enable downscaling in the registry to fake 1024x768 on 1024x600 netbook and tablet devices. They will be unable to run Metro though they are fully capable of running Windows 8 with great performance. Millions of devices rendered unuseable by Metro. Spurring millions of replacement sales????
